The Circus

Silly clowns climbing poles

Performing many antics

Falling headfirst into holes

Swinging ’round

Upside down on shaky, shaky sticks

Tightrope walkers walking ‘cross the string

You might never know

What they bring

To the show: chairs, bears, small shoes, big shoes, even an umbrella!

Watch the trapeze

Fly so high

Should you let go? NO, NO, NO

Or you’ll fall DOWN, DOWN, DOWN

Onto the guy with the coat and tie!

Tigers are here

Not too near

 Otherwise they’ll eat me!

Little dogs

Running around

Showing what they know

Down, Down, Down they slide

To the ground below

The circus is the only place

To find all these things.

Going to the circus is wonderful

Hope you come again!

What a wonderful poem – I almost felt like I was right at the circus, too :)

My favorite part: “should you let go? NO NO NO”! Great job!

    Dear CHERRYBLOSSOMS,
The poem ” CIRCUS” gives an interesting
account of the circus show you happened to see.You have
nicely depicted with humour in your poem, for others to read
and enjoy. My sincere appreciation to you.
